Do vs. Don’t Wedding Flowers

We’ve established a guide to your wedding flower budget (STOP here and read that blog before continuing). Now lets get into the flowers you NEED vs. the ones you don’t. The simple answer… whatever you want. It is your special day and you’re the one who will have the memories and pictures to look back on.

However, flowers do come at a cost (literally) and the higher quantity, complexity, extravagant designs, etc. typically means a higher cost. With that said, here is a generic list of what you can include that isn’t too much, but also not too little.

  • Bridal bouquet

  • Bridesmaid bouquet(s)*

  • Groom boutonniere

  • Groomsmen(s) boutonniere

  • Ceremony Backdrop*

  • Simple Reception centerpieces*

Note- Items listed with a * indicate they can be repurposed. Stay tuned for another blog with how to repurpose your flowers.

To add to this list, see more flower options below.

  • Ceremony aisle arrangements

  • Entrance arrangements

  • Corsages

  • Reception photo backdrop

  • Sweet heart table arrangements

  • And so much more!
