Fall Bridal Bouquet

You’re recently engaged (congrats!) or maybe you’re just thinking about marriage and wondering what the “typical“ cost is of a wedding. Well I’m here to give you the insight of what kind of investment people make when it comes to their wedding flowers.

First, you’ll need to remember that you aren’t just paying for literally flowers (at least with TBNS Floral Design). Although there is a long list of what you receive with us, here’s just a small glimpse of what you get when you’re our client…

  • EDUCATION- this is so important! To summarize, not all flowers work for your overall aesthetic, are available at the time of your wedding, or need to be handle a specific way. This is often overlooked.

  • QUALITY- each event has specific blooms picked out for the best quality. While it is tedious work, our processing is done to ensure the upmost quality for our clients.

  • HARDWORK- we simply don’t cut corners. From working to create your custom estimate and mood board, processing of every flower for your event, creating your custom design(s), setting up, repurposing for your reception, we make sure it is done the right way.

Now that we’ve established just some of the “extra’s” that come with our services, lets take a look at home previous weddings and what our couples received vs. what they invested.

Client #1

For this lovely and intimate wedding, our bride and groom invested in their personals and a statement piece. Their personals include a large bridal bouquet along with a trending pocket boutonniere and was topped off with an elegant cross backdrop coated with white blooms. As you can see, their color palette was an all white creation with a touch of greenery. These arrangements include gorgeous roses, ranunculus, and additional premium flowers. This wedding took place in the 85+ degree weather and was held outdoors.

Here’s a breakdown of what TBNS Floral Design included in their services:

  • EDUCATION- knowledge of what kind of flowers will hold up in the heat, flowers that are available at the beginning of summer, and how to construct their vision.

  • QUALITY- blooms were picked out to meet the clients vision and all were specifically processed to bring the best flowers possible.

  • HARDWORK- these clients received a custom estimate and mood board for their event, had their dream designs created and delivered straight to them, and had a custom backdrop setup in 85+ degree weather (we make sure to get it done no matter what).

Now that we’ve established a glimpse of what went into this intimate wedding lets reveal the cost… $700.

Client #2

For this next wedding we had a couple stick with flowers for their wedding party. This investment included the following: 1 large bridal bouquet, 5 medium bridesmaid bouquets, 4 corsages, and 7 boutonnieres. Again we can see we used lots of premium flowers including various roses and greenery. Here’s another glimpse of what our services included:

EDUCATION- knowledge of the flowers available (there was a huge shortage of certain roses at this time). We had to make substitutions of some of the flowers, but we knew how to do this while following the given color palette and the clients likes.

QUALITY- this was also an outdoor wedding, therefore, we were selective with what flowers we used to ensure the blooms would last for their event. We were also very specific with how these flowers were handled to ensure they kept their best.

HARDWORK- all arrangements take time, but we enjoy the process. We made sure our clients received their flowers at the proper time and location (all the way in the Seattle area!).

These special clients invested a little over $750 into their memorable day. Although this is close in cost to client #1, the product they received is different. This is just an example of how the type of arrangements can vary the cost.

Client #3

Lastly we have client #3. This was a larger wedding and included the following arrangements: a large bridal bouquet, 4 medium bridesmaid bouquets, 8 boutonnieres, 2 altar arrangements on pedestals, 6 aisle arrangements, 1 easel arrangement, a2 n extra large sweet heart table setup (included 3 vase arrangements, 8 bud vases, 3 garlands, and numerous candles), 1 backdrop with 2 different arrangements attached, 2 vase entrance arrangements, a cake table setup (included 4 bud vases and 18 small flower arrangements), and finally, 25+ centerpieces. Wow, right?!

EDUCATION- we used local flower farmers (we love supporting locally first!), sourced out the best product, and substituted some blooms when needed without compromising the vision.

QUALITY- there were premium flowers used for all arrangements and this included peonies, garden roses, and so much more! Every stem was processed and handled properly (even though there was 800+ blooms).

HARDWORK- we created 80+ custom arrangements ranging from small to extra, extra large. All were designed, delivered, setup, and even repurposed for the reception to make this wedding the best possible.

Finally, the last reveal. This large wedding with, close to 1,000 guests, brought the client to invest about $4,500 into this special day.

As you can see, there is a wide range of what wedding flowers can cost and above are examples of what some clients have chosen. No matter what your budget is or even how much you know about flowers, we’re here to help you. This can be through brainstorming together, offering our expertise, providing you an estimate, or even a consultation. Here are a few things to consider when receiving the cost of your wedding flower investment:

  1. DATE- the time of your wedding matters as certain flowers are only available during certain seasons and even though some flowers are available all year long, the quality can make them appear differently.

  2. FLOWER TYPE- if your inspo is filled with peonies, garden roses and other top premium flowers, your estimate will reflect that.

  3. ARRANGEMENT TYPE- the more work an arrangement will take, the higher the cost. For example, a bud vase is simpler than a bridal bouquet.

  4. WHO- cheaper isn’t necessarily the best for you. With TBNS Floral Design you are receiving someone who can meet your vision, deliver exceptional product, a knowledgeable and experienced designer and so much more!
